Nick, a troublemaker recently released from jail returns to town only to find his old tearaway pals have joined a supervised motorcycle club called the Skyriders. Fronted by his old rival goody-goody cyclist, Randy who received probation for the hit-and-run accident that landed Nick in jail, friction soon erupts. Randy who is keen on winning club titles at the Pacific motorcycle championships is soon forced into a clandestine race against Nick, and despite the fact he is a 'clean' cycle-hog who likes to keep on the right side of the law, Randy agrees to the race.
